Ara : Four unidentified masked miscreants snatched jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10,000 cash from a jeweller at gun point at Karman Tola behind Maharaja College gate under Nawada police station (PS), Ara, on February 15, 2021, afternoon. The miscreants also thrashed the jeweller and fired in the air to terrorise the locals.

SDPO, Ara,  Pankaj Kumar Rawat, and police officials rushed to the spotsoon after getting information about the loot. Police recovered a blank cartridge and a pellet from the spot. An FIR was lodged with Nawada PS in this connection and police are investigating the matter.

SHO, Nawada PS, Sanjeev Kumar, said that Laxman Prasad Gupta of Bichali road-Tari Mohalla under Ara Town PS, a jeweller, was going to Patna on a motorcycle with jewellery on February 15, 2021, afternoon, when four unidentified masked miscreants intercepted him in Karman Tola-Rajendra Nagar lane under Nawada PS at pistol point and snatched jewellery worth Rs 7 lakh and Rs 10,000 cash, a mobile phone, and purse, from him. When he protested, the miscreants thrashed him and also fired in the air. The miscreants fled away via Karman Tola-Nawada lane.
