Ara: Eight unidentified armed miscreants in a Bolero intercepted a truck loaded with Fortune Refined Oil worth about Rs 20 lakh between Ekwari and Guljarpur villages under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district and hijacked it after making the driver and khalasi captive on Friday evening. An FIR has been lodged with Sahar police station but neither the miscreants have been arrested nor the truck has been recovered so far.

The SHO, Sahar police station, said that a truck carrying Fortune Refined Oil worth about Rs 20 lakh was coming from Ghaziabad to Patna via Sahar. Some unidentified armed miscreants were following the truck in a Bolero and when it  reached Ekwari-Gulzarpur road, the miscreants intercepted it advantage of bad road and beat the driver and Khalasi. The miscreants also tied the hands and feet of the driver Om Prakash Yadav of Devania-Barachatti in Gaya and Khalasi Manoj Kumar and also their eyes with black ribbon and threw them into a garden at Gulzarpur. Later, they hijacked the truck and escaped. The passers by rescued the truck driver and khalasi. The driver and Khalasi reached Sahar police station and narrated their woes.
