Bagaha : A Bagaha bound pick-up van carrying plywood was hijacked by armed criminals on July 31, 2017, night, on Tengaraha bridge on NH-28(b) under Town police station (PS), Bagaha, in West Champaran district.

Sources said that the pick-up van belongs to Guddu Chaurasia of Motipur police station in Muzaffarpur district.The criminals moving in a four-wheeler suddenly overtook the pick-up van  and looted belongings of driver Akalu Mahto and cleaner Sanjiv Kumar Singh, residents of Motipur and Paroo police station in Muzaffarpur district respectively, and then hijacked the vehicle.

The crimnals tied legs and hands of the driver and cleaner with ropes and threw them down from the van near Barawa farm under Chautarawa police station. Police on August 1, 2017, morning  recovered both the driver and cleaner. On their statement, Bagaha Town police station lodged a case in this connection. SHO, Bagaha town police station, Mohd Yaqub said that police investigation was  on but no arrest has been made so far.
