Criminal evading arrest for 18 years held in Bagaha

Bagaha: Notorious criminal Waqil Mian, son of Ramjan Mian of village Ramawalia Babartola under  Semara police station in West Champaran district, was arrested on Saturday by a team of special task force (STF), Bagaha, near village Dahawa under Dhanaha police station on Bihar – UP border.

Giving this information, Bagaha SP Shankar Jha said that the gangster was arrested while returning home. The SP said Waqil was involved  in over two dozen criminal cases including kidnapping, murder, loot and dacoity committed in West Champaran district and was evading arrest for the past 18 years. SP Jha said that Waqil was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head.
