Criminal demands Rs 5 lakh from army personnel’s family in Saharsa

Saharsa :  A criminal lodged in Saharsa divisional jail has demanded a `rangdari’  (extortion amount) of  Rs 5 lakh from an army personnel’s family deployed on Indo – China border Vikas Chandra Mishra on telephone. Mishra lodged a complaint with Sadar police station, Saharsa, in this connection and demanded stern action against the jailed criminal. Mishra said the first call, which was received by his brother Vishwanath Mishra alias Suraj, came on January 20, 2017, with the caller identifying himself Vidya Sharma demanding Rs 5 lakh and threatening to eliminate the entire family if the amount was not paid. Suraj informed his brother that two more calls were made from the same number demanding the same amount and repeating the earlier threat. The caller again identified himself as Vidya Sharma.
