Criminal demands Rs 10 lakh from petrol pump owner in Bhojpur

Ara: A criminal demanded Rs 10 lakh as rangdari from a petrol pump owner and former mukhia of Barap panchayat under Garhani police station in Bhojpur district Chandrashekhar Singh, son of Madan Singh, on his mobile with a threat of dire consequences if he fails to pay the amount. An FIR has been lodged with Garhani police station by Chandrashekhar Singh demanding safety for him.

The SHO Garhani police station said that as per the FIR when Chandrashekhar Singh was returning to his residenceon Tuesday evening a call came on his mobile. The caller first abused him and then demanded Rs 10 lakh with a threat to blow him up, his petrol pump and Scorpio  if he fails to pay the amount. The SHO said that old enmity might be the reason behind it.
