Ara: Hundreds of activists of the CPI(ML)  and All India Students’ Association (AISA)  led by AISA Bhojpur district president  Md Sabbir took out ‘Protest March’ from their office near eastern railway crossing on Tuesday that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated on the campus of Ara railway station. The protest march was taken out in protest against suicide bid by a mahadalit student of College of Arts and Crafts, Patna, on Monday.

Md Sabbir alleged that the Principal and other staffs of the college used filthy language on caste line against the said student and some activists of the Chhatra Samagam too had beaten him up. The student had complained to police but to no avail. Upset with the continued torture, he attempted to commit suicide on Monday, Sabbir said and demanded lodging of a criminal cases against the Principal and other staffs of the college and CBI inquiry into the matter. He said his party would be forced to an aggressive agitation if action is not taken immediately against the principal of the college and others.
