Patna : The number of COVID-19 cases rose to 1,98,223 in Bihar as 1,23 more persons including 272 from Patna, 98 from Purnia, 63 from Katihar, 56 from Muzaffarpur, 52 from Araria, tested positive to it on October 12,2020.

According to state health department figure, 40 persons from East Champaran, 39 from Saharsa, 36 from Jehanabad, 33 from Bhagalpur, 31 from Rohtas, 31 from Vaishali, 29 from Jamui, 28 from Sheikhpura, 27 from Madhepura, 27 from Supaul, 26 from Nawada, and 25 from Samastipur, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 12, 2020.

Of the 1,98,223 COVID-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, altogether 1,86,623 patients have been declared cured including 1,030 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.15%. The state has tested 85,72,837 samples till date including 94,145 samples on October 12, 2020.

COVID-19 toll jumped to 961 in Bihar on October 13, 2020, with 6 new deaths being reported during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, and 1 each fromĀ  Gaya, Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Khagaria.
