Patna : COVID-19 cases climbed to 1,94,966 in Bihar on October 10, 2020, afternoon, as 1,140 more persons including 255 from Patna, 69 from Saharsa, 58 from Purnia, 57 from Araria, and 50 from Muzaffarpur, tested positive to the disease on October 9, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 40 persons from Nalanda, 38 from Madhepura, 37 from East Champaran, 36 each from Bhagalpur and Gaya, 35 from Saran, 34 from Kishanganj, 30 from Rohtas, 27 from Jehanabad, 25 from Supaul, 23 each Vaishali and  Katihar, 22 each from Aurangabad and Gopalganj, 21 from Lakhisarai, and 20 from Begusarai also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 9, 2020.

Of the 1,94,966 COVID-19 cases reported in Bihar till date, a total of 1,83,007 patients have been declared cured including 1,226 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.87%. Bihar has tested 83,06,444 samples so far including 1,06,817 samples on October 9, 2020.

The COVID-19 toll in the state jumped to 944 on October 10, 2020, with 10 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including 3 from Patna, 2 from Banka, 2 from Munger, and one each from Araria, Madhepura, and Naswada. The toll increased to 229 in patna on October 10, 2020.
