Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 1,68,542 in Bihar with 1,555 more persons including 209 from Patna, 101 from Muzaffarpur, 93 from Supaul, 73 from East Champaran, 73 from Purnia, and 64 from Araria, testing positive to it on September 19, 2020.

According to State Health Department figure, 59 persons from Nalanda, 58 from Jamui, 57 from Rohtas, 49 from Gopalganj, 49 from Madhubani, 49 from Bhagalpur, 39 from Madhepura, 36 from Saharsa, 36 from Banka, 33 from Munger, 32 from Saran,and  30 from Vaishali, also tested positive to COVID-19 on September 19. The number of active cases in the state was 13,234 on September 20.

Of the 1,68,542 COVID-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, a total of 1,54,443 patients have been declared cured including 1,487 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 91.63%. The State has tested 57,00,336 COVID samples so far including 1,76,551 samples on September 19, 2020.

COVID-19 death toll in Bihar increased to 864 in Bihar on September 20, 2020, with three new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna, Samastipur, and Begusarai.
