Patna : The number of COVID-19 cases increased 1,49,027 in Bihar on September 7, 2020, as 1,369 more persons including 241 from Patna, 97 from Bhagalpur, 72 from Saran, 55 from Araria, 48 from Samastipur, 46 from Sitamarhi, 46 from Purnia, 43 from Muzaffarpur, 41 from Nalanda, tested positive to it on September 6, 2020.
Of the 1,49,027 COVID cases reported in Bihar till date, a total of 1,32,145 patients have been declared cured/discharged including 1,845 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 88.67%.
Bihar has tested 41,75,922 COVID samples till date including 1,53,156 on September 6, 2020. The state had tested 1,51,033 samples on September 5, 2020. The number of active cases in the state was 16,120 on September 7, 2020. Patna has reported 22,774 COVID cases till date followed by Bhagalpur with 6,113 cases and Begusarai with 5,653 cases. Madhubani has reported 5,115 cases while Muzaffarpur has reported 6,592 cases. East Champaran has reported 5,511 cases
COVID-19 death toll in Bihar jumped to 761 on September 7, 2020, with 7 new deaths being reported in the state from different places including two from Munger, two from Banka, and one each from Gaya, Khagaria, and Aurangabad.
