New Delhi : A total of 11,610 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,09,37,320 cases in the country at 8 am on February 17, 2021. On the other hand, 11,833 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/ discharged in last 24 hours in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,06,44,858 in the country exceeding the number of active cases ( 1,36,549) by a massive margin of 1,05,08,309 on February 17, 2021.
The active cases accounted for just 1.25% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,09,37,320) on February 17, 2021, a drop of 323 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 20,79,77,229 samples so far including 6,44,931 samples on February 16, 2021. Meanwhile, a total of 89,99,230 Corona warriors have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India including 2,76,943 samples on February 16, 2021. Of the 1,09,37,320 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,06,44,858 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate being 97.33%.
The Covid-19 jumped to 1,55,913 in India on February 17, 2021, with 100 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 39 in Maharashtra, 18 in Kerala, 7 in Tamilnadu, 6 in Chhattisgarh, 6 in Karnataka, 5 in Punjab, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in West Bengal, 1 in Delhi, 1 in Haryana, 1 in Bihar, and 1 in Gujarat. India had recorded 81 new deaths on February 16, 2021.
