COVID-19 confirmed cases jump to 562 in India

New Delhi : The number of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed cases jumped to 562 in India at 9.15 am on March 25, 2020, an increase of 43 over March 24, 2020, night. This figure includes 43 foreigners, 41 cured/discharged/migrated cases, and 9 deaths. Kerala, a Southern state, tops the list with 109 cases including 8 foreigners followed by Maharashtra with 101 active cases including three foreigners.

Karnataka has recorded 41 COVID-19 confirmed cases while UP has recorded 35 active cases including one foreigner. Gujarat has recorded 33 confirmed cases so far while Delhi has reported 31 active cases. The figure stands at 35 in Telangana including 10 foreigners while Rajasthan has recorded 32 cases so far. Punjab accounts for 29 cases while in Tamilnaduthe figure stands at 18including 1 foreigner. Chandigarh and J&K have reported 7 cases each while in Ladakh the figure remains pegged at 13, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh have reported 9 active cases each so far. In Haryana, the figure stands at 28 including 14 foreigners.

Bihar and Himachal Pradesh have has reported 3 confirmed cases so far. Both these states have reported one death each. Odisha has reported 2 cases while Chhattigarh, Manipur and Mizoram have reported 1 case each.
