Patna : COVID-19 cases crossed 1 lakh mark in Bihar reaching 1,01,906 with 3,536 more persons including 493 from Patna, 187 from Madhubani, 166 from Muzaffarpur, 157 from East Champaran, 152 from Purnia, 151 from Katihar, 141 from West Champaran, 139 from Begusarai, 138 from Gaya, 138 from Sitamarhi, 122 from Madhepura, 115 from Saharsa, and 100 from Saran, testing positive to it on August 14, 2020.

According to State Health Department sources, 89 persons from Jehanabad, 85 from Buxar, 73 from Rohtas, 72 from Araria, 71 from Nalanda, 70 from Bhojpur, 69 from Darbhanga, 69 from Supaul, 66 from Sheikhpura, and 64 from Siwan also tested positive to COVID on August 14, 2020.

A total of 68,675 COVID patients have been declared cured in the state till date including 3,368 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 67.39 %. The number of active cases in Bihar stands at 32,715.

The COVID-19 death toll in Bihar increased to 515 on August 15, 2020, with 15 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during past 24 hours including two each from Patna, Munger, West Champaran, Saran and Siwan, and one each from Bhojpur, Gaya, and Supaul.

The COVID death toll has climbed to 96 in Patna followed by 40 in Bhagalpur, 33 in Gaya, 26 in Rohtas, 25 Munger, 23 in Nalanda, and 19 each in East Champaran and Bhojpur.
