Council chairman plants sapling at Ara

Ara: A seminar on ‘How to save our environment’ was organized by the Botany department of Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara,  on the university campus to mark the World Environment Day on Sunday. VKSU Vice-chancellor (VC) Leela Chand Sah inaugurated the seminar. About a dozen students of Botany and Geography departments participated at the seminar and expressed their view on the topic.

On the other hand, under the banner of `Ramana Bachao Abhiyan’, hundreds of students, journalists, teachers, doctors and others took out a ‘Prabhat Pheri around the Ramana Maidan on Friday to make people aware of environment preservation. The procession was taken out to mark the World Environment Day. Chairman, Bihar Legislative Council, Awadhesh Narain Singh, also took part in it and planted a sapling at Ramana Maidan. People pledged to free Ramana Maidan from encroachment on the occasion and the Council Chairman also assured to cooperate with them.
