Buxar: Utter Pradesh (UP) police with the help of their Buxar counterpart arrested former vice-president of BJP in UP Daya Shankar Singh on Friday from Buxar for making objectionable remarks against Bahujan Samajwadi Party supremo Mayavati. The UP police took the expelled BJP with them to Utter Pradesh.

Buxar SP Upendra Sharma said that the UPfor  police led by Inspector Parihal contacted him and requested some help after which he provided them force. Later,  UP police officials with the help of Buxar police conducted raid at the house of Ranjeet Singh in  Sugar Mill locality under Buxar Town police station on Friday afternoon and arrested Daya Shankar Singh, a resident of Buxar. He said no case against Daya Shankar Singh was lodged with police in Buxar district and even the police did not know that he had taken shelter somewhere in Buxar. 

UP police were looking for Daya Shankar Singh afetr his comments against BSP chief Mayavati. But, Daya Shankar Singh proved too smart for them and even visited Deoghar in Jhakhand and offer prayer to lord Shiva at the temple there. The UP police was not aware of his movements in Jharkhand. He returned from Deoghar and was staying at the house of Ranjeet Singh at his native place in Buxar for the last two days. But, the Buxar police were not aware of his presence there.
