Motihari : Ranjit Singh 45 , a contractor, was shot dead on December 31, 2020, around 5 pm near a temple on Motijheel Road in Srikrishna Nagar locality at Motihari, headquarters of East Champaran District in North Bihar, by two unidentified motorcycle borne criminals.
According to police, Ranjit Singh was returning from Minabazar to Srikrishna Nagar on his motorcycle.The assailants were waiting for him near the temple. As soon as Ranjit Singh reached that point, the criminals opened fire on him and the bullet hit his head. He fell on road and died on the spot.
SHO, Town police station, Motihari, Gauri Kumari, said the body was sent for post mortem to Sadar Hospital, Motihari. A case has been registered with Town police station in connection with the incident.
