Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded in Bihar rose to 2,52,792 on December 31, 2020, afternoon, as 392 more persons including 149 from Patna, 26 from Muzaffarpur, 20 from Begusarai, and 19 from Jrhanabad, tested positive to the pandemic on December 30, 2020.
According to State Health Department data, 13 persons from Saran, 12 from Mjunger, 10 from Arwal, 9 from Gaya, 8 from Vaishali, 7 each from Bhojpur, Kishanganj, Lakhisarai, Madhubani, and Rohtas, 6 each from Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Araria, and Katihar, and Madhepura, and 5 each from Samastipur, Darbhanga, and Siwan, also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 30, 2020.
Of the 2,52,792 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar, a total of 2,46,685 patients have been declared cured including 299 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.58%. Bihar has tested 1,83,36,722 samples so far including 1,09,603 samples on December 30, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 4,709 on December 31, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,397 in Bihar on December 31, 2020, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 2 in Patna and one each from Saran and Sitamarhi. The toll jumped to 380 in Patna on December 31, 2020.
