Cong MLA, 9 others on idefinite fast for repair of Sitamarhi – Bairgania Road

Sitamarhi : An indefinite fast by 10 persons including the Congress MLA from Riga assembly constituency in Sitamarhi district Amit Kumar Tunna to press their demands including repair of road from district headquarters to Bairgania, a stretch of 25 km, and a bridge over river Lalbakeya, entered its fourth day on September 14, 2018. They are observing fast at Patel Chowk at Bairgania block headquarters in Sitamarhi district. Bairgania falls under Riga Assembly constituency.

Four persons on indefinite fast : Santosh Patel, Shambhu Shankar, Dhiraj Patel and Bamshankar Chaudhay, are under medical care.  Congress MLA  Amit Kumar Tunna’ s condition too is deteriorating but he has refused to take medical support. The attending medical officer Dr Jitendra Kumar Shahi has repeatedly requested the Congress MLA to take medical assistance but he has refused. Tunna and his supporters are demanding written time bound assurance from the administration.
