Patna: About half a dozen unidentified bike borne armed criminals shot dead a Commerce Service Provider (CSP), Punjab National Bank, and also looted Rs 2.70 lakh from him near village Narayanpur on NH 30 on Ara-Mohania main road under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district on August 13, 2018, evening. They also fired at least six rounds in the air and escaped from the spot.

Later, police recovered blank cartridges from the spot and brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Ram Shobhit Singh of Bimwa Mathia under Jagdishpur police station.

SHO, Jagdishpur police station, said that Rakesh Kumar had drawn Rs 2.70 lakh from Punjab National Bank, Jagdishpur branch, in the afternoon on August 13 and was going to Isadhi Bazaar  under the police station on his motorcycle along with his co-villager Satyendra Kumar in the evening. When he reached near village Narayanpur, about half a dozen unidentified armed criminals riding two motorcycles intercepted them and fired on them killing Rakesh Kumar on the spot while the pillion rider Satyendra Kumar survived as he jumped off the motorcycle.
