Ara : Hundreds of college teachers boycotted evaluation work on November 13, 2017, and reached the Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU) Headquarters at Ara where staged demonstration in front the office of the Vice Chancellor demanding increase in their remuneration.
Evaluation work of BA/B Sc/ B Com was going on at two evaluation centres at Ara since November 6. The VKSU administration had assured to increase their remuneration but is yet to increase it. In protest the teachers boycotted the evaluation work on November 13.
The teachers said that they were getting Rs 12 per answer book for the last several years while the university had increased examination fees manifold during this period and whenever they demanded increase in their remuneration, the VC always gave a positive assurance but to no avail so far.
