Saharsa : One Rohan Kumar Singh received serious stab injury in a fight between two groups of criminals at Panchwati Chowk under Sadar Police Station (PS) in Saharsa district  in North Bihar on July 16, 2017, morning. He was rushed to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, but died soon after being admitted there. His family members, supporters and workers of different parties soon gathered at the hospital and raised slogans against police administration.

Rohan, son of Manoj Singh of village Singarpur under Alamnagar police station in Madhepura district, was student of BA Part I at Rajendra Mishra College, Saharsa, and lived in Manasnagar colony. He had joined a coaching institute located at Panchwati Chowk. He had gone to the coaching institute with his friends o July 16 but was attacked by some criminals who stabbed him thrice. His kin said that Rohan told them at the hospital that Nandu Yadav, Gabbar and Tuktu attacked him when he was returning from coaching institute.

Saharsa SP Ashwini Kumar soon reached Sadar hospital after being informed by former MLA Kishore Kumar Munna about the incident but he had to face the wrath of the people. The locals alleged that the SP never comes out of his official residence. The SP, however, said that he was committed to serve the people and always remains alert. Later, police arrested the main accused Nandu Yadav.
