Madhubani: Divisionl Railway Manager (DRM), Samastipur,  East Central Railway (ECR), Shudhanshu
Sharma, on July 11 said that after the construction of a Coach Hub and an additional Washing Pit at Jainagar, in Madhubani district, proposals for which, estimated at Rs 80 crore, have already been sent to the Railway Board, the extension of all trains presently terminating at Darbhanga up to the border town of Jainagar would become a reality.

He was answering to the persistent demand of speakers for extension of  all trains terminating at Darbhanga Junction  up to Jainagar at a meet organised by Mithilanchal Chamber of Commerce. Railway ministry is facilitating such meets in order to reach out to common people and apprise them of the transformations that are underway in the railways
on the completion of two years of NDA rule.
A number of suggestions for improvement of railway infrastructure and facilities including security related issues came up through several speakers and the DRM satisfactorally answered all of them. Improvement of passenger amenities,  easing the problem of railway reservation, making Madhubani an Ideal Railway Station, manning of all unmanned
railway level crossings, construction of ROBs at select railway crossings and installation of the bust of former railway minister late L N Mishra at Madhubani railway station were some of the issues and  raised by the speakers.
