Patna : Bihar JD(U) president and Rajya Sabha Member Bashishtha Narain Singh on January 8, 2018, said that the JD(U) national President and CM Nitish Kumar had ushered in a silent social revolution by enforcing prohibition in the state and launching a campaign for prevention child marriage and eradication of dowry system.
He was addressing the first meeting of ‘Samaj Sudhar Vahini’ at the state party headquaters here. JD(U) national General Secretary R C P Singh, MP, was also present on the occasion. ‘Samaj Sudhar Vahini’ is headed by Rajnu Gita, a JD(U) MLA.
State JD(U) president Singh said that the impact of the campaign launched by CM Nitish Kumar would be visible on the culture and education of generation next. He said that CM Nitish is being lauded for his works across the country. RCP Singh said that ‘ Samaj Sudhar Vahini’ would give new energy to the party. He said that the constitution of Samaj Sudhar Vahini was suggested by CM Nitish Kumar.
