Patna : CM Nitish Kumar on March 22, 2020, announced lockdown in Bihar with immediate effect till March 31, 2020, as a measure of social distancing to combat COVID-19 menace. All essential services will, however, remain available during the period. All District, Sub-Divisional, and Block Headquarters and Urban Local Bodiy offices will remain closed during the period.
All private establishments, private offices and public transport would also remain completely closed during the period, the CM said in a statement. The CM urged the people to support the prevention actions taken by the State Government.
