Bagaha: Chowkidars posted at different police station under Bagaha Sub-division in West Champaran district on December 27, 2017, staged demonstration in severe cold before Sub-divisional headquarters demanding payment of their five months’ salary arrear.
Bagaha Police District Chowkidars Union president Sant Singh alleged that due to non-payment salary arrear, two chowkidars: Pramod Prasad of Jogia panchayat and Bharat Yadav of Murera panchayat under Ramnagar police station, had been died for want of medicare . The Chowkidars are unable to pay the tuition fees of their wards. Later, a delegation of the union led by Sant Singh met SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, who assured them immediate payment of their salary arrears.
