Patna: Chitragupta puja pandals have turned into political platforms as the songs and music programmes were held to praise Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, his good governance and prohibition campaign.
At Gardanibagh Thakurbari pandal, senior JD(U) leaders including state party president Bashistha Narain Singh, RCP Sinha, MP, Disaster management minister Chandra Shekhar Singh, Dr Ajay Alok, Rajiv Ranjan Prasad performed puja at the temple of Chitragupta. Musical troupe performed programmes in the presence of the top JD(U) leaders highlighting Nitish Kumar’s good governance and successful anti-liquor campaign. Some senior officers of the state government including Information commissioner Arun Kumar Verma, ADG of police Alok Raj, and Divisional commissioner, Patna, Anand Kishore were present. Alok Raj presented devotional songs.
JD(U) Treasurer Ranbir Nandan Prasad, who organised the programme, also arranged lunch for all the visitors to the temple. Union Law and justice and IT minister Ravishankar Prasad, BJP party legislators Arun Kumar Sinha, Nitin Navin and Sanjay Mayukh also performed puja at the temple. The organisers honoured 15 people for their achievements in different fields including administration, engineering, medicine and social service.
Rajya Sabha MP R K Sinha visited Chitragupta temples at 50 places including Nauzar Ghat, Gardanibagh and  Kankarbagh. Earlier in the day, Sinha performed puja at his residence Anapurna in Pataliputra Colony.
