Patna: Bihar cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal to change the pattern of examinations for state civil services conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Now, there will be only one optional paper at the main examinations of 300 marks and  ten times more candidates than the available vacancies  would be selected at the examinations. There will be 120 marks for the interview and number of papers are also being reduced. The Cabinet sanctioned Rs 25 crore for the Commission for current financial year. The BPSC examination pattern is being changed after 20 years.
