New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared Class X results on May 29, 2018. Thiruvananthapuram performed best amongst all regions with 99.60 % pass percentage followed by Chennai region with 97.37 % while Ajmer stands at third position with 91.86 % pass percentage. Altogether 16,24,682 students appeared at the exam of which 14,08,594 students passed the exam. Overall pass percentage this year is 86.70.

Four students have topped the exam with 499 total marks. They are : Prakhar Mittal, 499, DPS Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal, 499, R P Public School, Bijnor, Nandini Garg, 499, Scottish Intl School, Shamli, Sreelakshmi G, 499, Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Cochin, according to aPIB release.

Total pass percentage of boys is 85.32 % while pass percentage of girls is 88.67 % which is 3.35 % better than boys. A total of 1,31,493 students scored more than 90% while 27,476 students scored more than 95% at this exam. This year CBSE conducted Class X exam from  March 5, 2018 to April 4, 2018.
