Ara : The CBI Sleuths led by Inspector Rahul Sharma, with the help of Bhojpur police, on October 31, 2019, conducted raids in Machhua Toli locality under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur District to arrest Sujit alias Sumeet Yadav  in connection with  Vyapam Scam but they failed to locate him. The CBI reached Ara after a Gwalior Court issued warrant against Sujit.

SHO, Ara Town police station, Janmjay Rai, said that a CBI team headed by Inspector Rahul Sharma, with an arrest warrant issued by a Gwalior Court, reached Ara on October 31, 2019, to arrest Sujit alias Sumeet Yadav in connection with Vyapam Scam in Madhya Pradesh. On the request of the CBI team, he along with police force conducted raids in Machhua Toli area under Ara Town police station to arrest Sujit but could not get information about his whereabouts.

It may be mentioned here that Madhya Pradesh government established Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal to conduct vocational examinations. Earlier, it was to conduct pre-medical examination but later it was assigned to conduct entrance examinations for 14 vocational courses including engineering, polytechnics and agriculture. The organisation had conducted pre-medical examination several years ago for admission to medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh but some students were selected without appearing at the examination.

After the matter came into light, an inquiry was ordered in which names of a number of white collared persons, political leaders, senior officials and business tycoon cropped up in 2013. At least 40 persons including witnesses and persons involved in the scam died under mysterious circumstances. Late, the Madhya Pradesh government handed over the matter to the CBI.
