CBI announces reward of Rs 10 lakh for information on murder of Ranveer Sena founder

Ara :The CBI has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone providing the agency with information regarding murder of Barmeshwar Nath Singh alias Barmeshwar Mukhia, the founder of Ranveer Sena, a banned outfit of upper caste landlords. The posters in this connection regard have been pasted at different places at Ara, headquarters of Bhojpur district.

Some armed miscreants had shot dead Barmeshwar Mukhia around 4.30 am near his residence at Katira under Nawada police station, Ara, on June 1, 2012, when he was returning from morning walk. He was a resident of village Khopira  under Pawana police station in Bhojpur district but lived at a house in Katira locality under Nawada police station after his release from jail. When the mystery of his murder was not solved, the matter was handed over to the CBI on July 18, 2016, but the CBI is yet to crack the case. Nawada police had submitted a chargesheet in the Ara Civil Court against eight persons in this case. But, after the CBI took charge of investigation of murder of Mukhia Ji, almost all the arrested persons were granted bail.

The names and address of the informers would be kept secret.

It may be mentioned here that the CBI had also announced reward of Rs. 10 lakh about in year 2016 and pasted posters at different places in Ara and also published advertisements in daily newspapers. The CBI got several calls and information but no solid information was received.
