Ara: A case has been filed against five officials of Veer Kuer Singh College, Ara,  in the Vigilance court in connection with largescale financial irregularities on complaint of a former Principal of the college Kumar Shankar Singh.

Former Principal, Veer Kuer Singh College, an affiliated unit of  Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, sent a complaint letter to the vigilance investigation bureau on May 5, 2015, charging a former Principal Sri Ram Ojha, former acting Principal Paramhans Singh, Secretaries Tribhuan Singh and Surendra Singh, and an assistant Awadhesh Singh of the college, charging them with committing financial irregularities. The vigilance team, after inquiry, found financial irregularities  between 2005 and 2010 and filed a case against all the five officials of the college in the vigilance court on July 21, 2016.

All the five accused misusing their posts allegedly embezzled huge amount of grant meant for the lecturers and non-teaching staffs of the college. The college administration paid the grant amount to 24 lecturers and 26 non-teaching staff instead of 15 lecturers and 19 non-teaching staffs respectivelyduring 2005-2010. The vigilance team also  detected that the college administration also drew huge amount from the internal fund of the college and committed  irregularities in the distribution of grant money received from the government to the teaches and non-teaching staff of the college for Intermediate and Degree sections.
