Patna : Three-time World Champion and reigning Olympic Champion Carolina Marin, 25, Spain, beat 2017 World Champion Nozomi Okuhara, 23, Japan, to lift the women’s singles of Japan Open BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament at Tokyo on September 16, 2018. Marin beat Asian Games 2018 Gold Medallist Okuhara in a three-set thriller 21-19, 17-21, 21-11 in 74 minutes in the women’s singles final.
