Buxar: Police cracked the cash carrier loot of Bandhan Bank on Monday by arresting the culprit and seizing firearms, live cartridges and locked bags containing cash from Nawanagar under the same police station in Buxar district.

SDPO, Dumraon, Kamlapati Singh, said that Amarjeet Kumar, cash carrier of the Bandhan Bank had lodged an FIR with Nawanagar police station under Dumraon Sub-Division in Buxar district on October 17 that some criminals had looted cash from him. But the police smelt rat and interrogated Amarjeet Kumar who spilled the beans. The SDPO said that Amarjeet Kumar had given contract to one Ripunjay Kumar, son of Ram Pukar Singh of Bodh Chatar village under Dawath police station in Rohtas district, to settle his score with his brother’s in-laws. When Ripunjay demanded money, Amarjeet planned to embezzle the money of the bank and acted accordingly.

The SDPO said that on the revelation of Amarjeet Kumar, police arrested Ripunjay Kumar from Budhaula bridge  with firearms and live cartridges. He has a criminal antecedent history and was released on bail one month back. He said that the police were looking for his associates.
