Busta beats Bublik to win ATP Chengdu Open title

patna : World No 63 Pablo Carreno Busta, 28, Spain, edged past World No 71 Alexander Bublik, 22, Kazakhstan, in a 2 hr 5 minutes slugfest to lift the singles title at Chengdu Open, an ATP World Tour 250 points hard court tournament, on September 29, 2019. Busta has won his first ATP title in two years.

Busta beat Bublik 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 coming from behind in the final at Sichuan International Tennis Center, Chengdu, China. Bublik though hammered 31 Aces in the match to 7 by the Spaniard. But, Bublik also committed 11 double faults in the match. Busta won 1 break point in the match. Both the players won 3 games each.

Top seed John Isner, USA, and and 2nd seed Felix Ahuger Aliassime, Canada, had lost in 2nd round of the tournament.
