Patna : Second seed Busanan Ongbamrungphan, 25, Thailand, beat compatriot & 6th seed  Supanida Katethong, 24, in a close three-game contest in women’s singles final on January 16, 2022, to win the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2022 women’s singles title.

World No 12 Busanan beat World No 33 Supanida 22-20, 19-21, 21-13 in an all-Thai women’s single final in 76 minutes at K D Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi, . Busanan won 62 points during the match to 54 points by Supanida. Both the players won 6 consecutive points each during the match. Both the players created 3 game point opportunities in the match.Busanan converted 2 of her three game points Supanida could convert only one of her three three game point opportunities. Basanan also won a point on challenge.
