Patna : Sixth seed Alexander Bublik, 24, Kazakhstan, stunned reigning Olympic champion & top seed Alexander Zverev, 24, Germany, in the singles final to win the Open Sud de France title at Montpellier, France, on February 6, 2022, night, his first ATP title.
World No 35 Bublik beat World No 3 Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in final in just 69 minutes to win the title. Bublik won 4 break points in the match to just 1 by the German.
