Nawada: Nawada SP Vikash Burman with the assistance of Warisaliganj police officials busted a racket at a private school near village Simribigha and arrested 28 ‘scholars’ besides seizing original answer scripts as well as various sophisticated electronic devices used to help examinees undertaking Bihar Staff Selection  Commission (BSSC ) exam across various districts of Bihar.

This followed a tip off that a hub, resembling a makeshift call centre, has been formed by a caucus of masterminds at Warisaliganj in Nawada district to help examinees sail through the written BSSC exam across the state on February 5.

The SP informed that the chief mastermind of the entire operation was one Sunil from Sonbarsa in Saharsa district and was assisted by a local Gauri Shankar from Warisaliganj market. The examinees are spread across Patna, Begusarai, Nawada, Buxar, Rohtas, Madhepura and other districts of the state. The same groups had carried out the same exercise earlier too. This year they charged a “fee’’ of Rs 5.75 lakh from the examinees.

SP Burman said that the Warisaliganj centre was selected on a random basis through a computer by the examination authorities in the state capital. The questions were leaked on the WhatsApp to the ‘experts’ who transmitted the corresponding answers via blue tooth to the examinees. The items seized are a laptop, 2 printers, 36 mobiles, 5 motorcycles besides original certificates, admit cards etc.The SP informed that the higher authorities in the state capital have been apprised of the development.
