Patna: JD(U) national president and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday directed the state party president Bashistha Narain Singh not to renew the membership of former MLA Usha Sinha following her involvement in the Intermediate examinations result scam. Singh was called by Nitish at his residence on Thursday and asked him to terminate the primary membership of Usha and not to renew it. Information about action against Usha was given by Singh to mediapersons after meeting the chief minister.
Police continued search for Usha and her husband Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, former chairman of Bihar school Examination Board (BSEB) as both are wanted in the examination scam.
The BSEB on Thursday Board withdrew affiliation to the controversial Vishun Rai College as largescale irregularities were detected in the college .Toppers of intermediate and matriculation examinations came from this institution. College principal Bachcha Rai is already in jail.
A 40 members team of the special investigation team searched the residential premises of Bachcha Rai at Kiratpur village in Vaishali district on Thrsday and found jewellery valued at Rs 20 lakh, Rs 1.20 lakh cash and some documents. .
