Boy drowns to death in Gandak in W Champaran

Bettiah : Mithilesh Yadav, 12, son of late Rajnandan Yadav of village Bheriharwa under Bairia police station in West Champaran district drowned to death at Bathana Gandak ghat on June 15, 2017, evening. The body was fished out on June 16 by the villagers.

Mithilesh was living with his uncle as his parents had died a few years back. He had gone to graze buffaloes in Gandak diara (riverine area) and to avoid scorching heat and was taking bath alone in the Gandak but drowned, according to sources.  When he did not return home till late June 15, the villagers started searching for him and on June 15 morning fished out the body. The autopsy was performed the same day at Government Hospital,  Bettiah.
