Bikramgaj ( Rohtas): A teenage boy was killed at Shivpur Halt at Bikramganj in Rohtas district due to carelessness of the employees of Vision Construction Company on Saturday evening. Later, the angry villagers made the employees of the Vision Construction Company captive and blocked Ara-Sasaram main road near Bikramganj for about four hours paralysing the movement of vehicles on either side of the road. They were demanding compensation to the family of the deceased and arrest of erring employees.
SDO Rajesh Kumar tried to remove the blockade but failed though he succeeded in getting the employees free from the clutches of villagers. The blockade was lifted around midnight after much persuasion and positive assurance from the officials.
The employees of the Vision Construction Company were cutting a branch of tree leaning on 11K volte live wire without any security arrangement near Shivpur Halt at Bikramganj in Rohtas district on Saturday evening. A branch of the tree fell on the electric pole breaking it from the middle. The broken polel fell on Abhishek Kumar, 14, son of an army man Bijay Bahadur Singh of Shivpur Halt, killing him on the spot.
