Ara: The fifth biennial conference of  Veer Kuer Singh University Service Teachers’ Association (VKSUSTA) concluded on Saturday evening en the campus of local H D Jain College. Vice-Chancellor, VKSU, Leela Chand Sah inaugurated the conference. Principal, H D Jain College, Ara,  C K Saha, was also present on the occasion. Diwakar Pandey, president, VKSUSTA, welcomed the guests. A seminar on Higher Education Policy was also organized on the occasion. Keshav Bhattacharya, president, AIFUCTO, said our education system was  not static and  changing with times but lamented that the government was not clear on education policy which has  several shortcomings. He said  50% posts of teachers were  lying vacant in the country and pay commission for teachers has not been constituted so far. He said state and central government have adopted the same policy towards teachers and higher education and priority to education is not on their agenda.
