Ara : A 10 year old boy Kush Kumar, son of Pintu Paswan, died due to electrocution after he came in contact with a live electric wire at village Gothaula under Ara Muffassil police station in Bhojpur district on July 22, 2018.

As the news spread, the villagers blocked Gothaula-Chandi main road with the body for about two hours paralysing movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres and raised slogans against the district administration and officials of the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL).  They were demanding a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and action against the officials of the SBPDCL.

The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, post-mortem.
