Bomb explosion accused arrested

Gopalganj: Gopalganj district police on January 8 arrested one Rameshwar Singh, an accused in an  incident of bomb explosion at Choudhary Sweets House under Town police station 18 months after the incident. Police also seized a stolen Bolero vehicle from the possession of arrested Singh. He was later sent to jail.

Jadopur police station SHO Rakesh Mohan said that police received information that Singh had come to village Hirapakad. He said that a police team raided Singh’s house and arrested him with a stolen four-wheeler. An FIR has been lodged against Singh for keeping a stolen four-wheeler, the SHO said, adding that raids were on to arrest other associates of Singh.

It may be mentioned here that the district police were continuously carrying out raids since June 7, 2015 to arrest the accuseds, who had exploded bombs for rangdari at the aforesaid sweets house in which three persons including Parma Elani had sustained serious injuries.
