Bokaro SP cautions people against members of Kodha gang

Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Bokaro SP Y S Ramesh  on September 22, 2017, cautioned the residents of the district against the member of Katihar ( Bihar) based Kodha gang and asked them remain alert as the gang has become active in the district. The gang is notorious for committing robberis, burglary, and looting ornaments and cash from busy areas including near banks and commercial centers.

The SP made this appeal after getting inputs from special branch cops which has been taken into confidence by Bihar counterpart  after which Bokaro police has taken all initiatives to nab the notorious gang members. Talking to  mediapersons on September 22, the SP stated that people going to bank for drawing  cash and those going for shopping have been asked to remain alert if they see strangers following them call the local police station for help. Giving his own number (94317—06418), the SP has sought people’s copperation in this connection.

“ Normally the criminals are active near banks’ cash counter and shopping centres.The gang  members play all  tricks  to snatch  cash  and escape.  Though we have posted large numbers of cops  in civvy at banks and shopping centrers  to nab the criminals but it is our duty to ask the people to remain alert and in case of heavy bank transactions take the help of local police station cops help who have been directed to extend  help,” said SP Ramesh .
