Patna : The Bank of India (BOI) on June 12, 2017, donated Rs 12.5 lakh to the Indian Red Cross Society IRCS), Bihar Branch. Top officials of Bank of India including its GM B K Mohanthy, Zonal Manager S R Padhi and Deputy General Manager Amrendra Kumar on June 12 called on Bihar Governor-cum-Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Bihar Branch, Ram Nath Kovind, at Raj Bhavan and presented him a  replica cheque worth Rs 12. 5 lakh.

The Governor appreciated the gesture of the bank and expressed hope that it would continue its welfare works for the country and society. IRCS, Bihar Branch, chief Dr B B Sinha, thanked the bank for its welfare works. Principal Secretary to the Governor, ELSN Bala Prasad, IRCS, Bihar,  vice-chairman Uday Shankar Prasad and Treasurer Dinesh Kumar Jaiswal were also present on the occasion.
