Ara : After an Ara court turned down the request of Bhojpur police to take Haresh Mishra, one of the main accused in the murder of Bihar BJP Vice President Bisheshwar Ojha, Bhojpur police interrogated Haresh in Ara jail for about three hours on January 12.

ASP (operations) Md Sajid, Jagdishpur ASP Dayashankar Singh and IO of the case Arvind Kumar reached Ara jail in the afternoon on January 12 and interrogated Haresh Mishra. Haresh Mishra confessed before the cops that he had talked to Rahul Tiwari alias Mantu Tiwari, RJD MLA from Shahpur in Bhojpur district, after and before the murder of Bisheshwar Ojha but it is not yet clear what did they discuss, said police sources.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that that police team tried to know about the hideout of Brajesh Mishra who carries a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head and firearms used in the murder. He said that Haresh Mishra, who also carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, spilled some beans and police will act accordingly.

It may be mentioned here that  Ojha was shot dead on February 12, 2016, near Sonbarsha Bazaar under Karnamepur police outpost under Shahpur block in Bhojpur district when he was going to attend a marriage ceremony. At least 12 sophisticated firearms  including carbine were assembled for the purpose though police have seized only four so far. Seven persons were made named accused in the FIR and police have arrested six of them. Police arrested Haresh Mishra, his elder brothers: Dhananjay Mishra and Kishun Mishra, from Uttarpada in Hugali district in Bengal on December 25, 2016, but Brajesh Mishra is still absconding.
