Ara : Around six bike borne unidentified miscreants shot dead a fish seller and injured two others near Birahimpur-Karaja Mor under Barhara police station (PS)  in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on September 27, 2021, afternoon.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted one of the  injured to a nearby hospital though one of the injured escaped from the scene. The deceased was identified as Kisan Bind of Bind Toli under Ara Town PS while the injured were identified as Munna  and Binod Kumar, Binod Kumar escaped from the scene.

An FIR has been lodged with Barhara PS in this connection and  police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.

Injured Munna Yadav said that he along with his friend Kisan Bind and Binod Kumr had gone to the contractor Binod Kumar’s site at Birampur under Giddha police outpost from there they reached Keshopur ghat under Barhara PS on motorcycle to purchase fish. When they were returning, about half a dozen armed miscreants riding two motorcycles intercepted them near Birahimpur-Karja Mor and fired on them killing Kisan Bind on the  spot.
