Bike borne criminals shot at & injured security guard at Buxar Central Jail gate

Buxar : Some unidentified armed criminals shot at and injured a security guard Manu Singh at the gate of Central Jail at Buxar on November 27, 2019. He was rushed to the Buxar Sadar Hospital but the doctors referred him to Varanasi Trauma Centre.

An FIR has been lodged with Buxar Town police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection though police are investigating into the incident.

Jail Superintendent, Buxar Central Jail, Bijay Kumar Aroda, said that Manu Singh was performing his duty as night watchman at the gate of Buxar Central Jail. On November 27, 2019, morning, some unidentified motorcycle borne armed miscreants attacked the Buxar Central Jail and fired indiscriminately at the gate and shot at and injured the night watchman Manu Singh, he said. The miscreants escaped towards Buxar town.
