Ara : Under mounting police pressure, one of the five named accused in the murder, arson and stripping and parading of a woman naked at Bihia in Bhojpur district on August 20, 2018, Vishnu Kumar of Shubham Colony under Bihia police station, surrendered before an Ara court on August 28, 2018. Later, he was sent to the jail under judicial custody.

Vishnu Kumar surrendered after the police pasted proclamation notice (Ishtehar) on the wall of his house as well as that of  four other named accused. Police have now launched an intensive combing drive to arrest the rest four named accused: Pintu Singh, Babua alias Gunna, Rakesh Rai alias Piyush, and Raja Sah. So far 22 persons including two professional dancers Babita Devi and Chandini have been arrested and sent to Ara jail in connection with Bihia incident.

People had gone frenzy and resorted to arson besides stripping and parading a woman naked through the street at Bihia after the recovery of body of Bimlesh Sah, 20, from the rail track near the red light area in situated at Dafali locality under Bihia police station on August 20, 2018.
